About Me
Emmanuel Zilber was born in Los Angeles, California, and has always had a passion for the intersection between storytelling, history, politics, and philosophy. Between his senior year of high school and graduation from college, Emmanuel has written four novels in the fantasy genre, each blending elements of literary fiction, metaphysical & mystical philosophy, political theory, and history with exciting and epic plots.
Emmanuel is a recent graduate from the University of Chicago, earning his Bachelor’s in English Language & Literature. While in school, Emmanuel wrote two of his novels—Even the Seas Will Rest & The Fall of a Sparrow—while simultaneously falling in love with Plato, Vladimir Nabokov, Nietzsche, and Emerson. In his senior year, he rewrote and edited his novel, A Struggle for Nobility, which is in the process of being shopped.
In his free time, Emmanuel enjoys keeping an active lifestyle with resistance training, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and frequent walks. When not writing, reading, or keeping active, Emmanuel enjoys watching an excellent film (feel free to judge his reviews on Letterboxd, @emanzilber), engaging TV show, or sharing a laugh amongst friends. Oh, and he’s also an excellent popcorn chef.
